A World Cup theme song has been recorded and dedicated to the Super Eagles of Nigeria ahead of the 2018 World Cup in Russia. The song is titled “Dem Go Hear Am” and it is produced by Pheelz.  It features Olamide and Phyno, two of the best indigenous rappers in Nigeria.

The World Cup theme song was recorded to motivate the fans of the Super Eagles at the 2018 World Cup. The theme song is powered by Aiteo, one of the biggest sponsors of the Super Eagles of Nigeria for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. The group has partnered with the Nigerian Football Federation to cater for the players, fans and technical crew of the Super Eagles throughout the World Cup.

Dem Go Hear Am paid tributes to some of the former players of the Super Eagles in a bid to motivate the current players to surpass these greats. These heroes of past World Cups include Sunday Oliseh, Samuel Okwaraji and Rashidi Yekini. The song is recorded predominantly in pidgin, the lingua franca of the nation. However, the Super Eagles are wished the best of luck in the three major languages of the country.

In the same vein, the major sponsor of Nigerian Football and the Super Eagles, Globacom has assembled its musical ambassadors to produce at least three World Cup theme songs for the super eagles. These musical ambassadors include MI, Wande Coal, and Flavour. In anticipation for the 2010 World Cup, Banky W and MI recorded a World Cup Theme song dedicated to the Super Eagles’ world cup campaign.

The official World Cup theme song for the Super Eagles would be launched officially at an event in Lagos. The event would feature other top Nigerian performers like Small Doctor, AY, Bovi and including Olamide and Phyno. Recently, the Official World Cup song, titled “Live It Up” by Will Smith, was released on different Music streaming platforms.
