President Muhammadu Buhari arrives in Abuja

President Muhammadu Buhari has today arrived in Abuja, after staying over a 100 days in London, where he had been receiving medical attention since May 7th.

The presidential aircraft landed at the presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, at around 4.35pm.

The president was received by top Government officials led by the vice president Yemi Osinbajo.

After disembarking the aircraft, NAF 001, the president mounted the rostrum and took the national salute before the men of the Brigades of Guard.

However the president did not take time to inspect the Guard of Honour before proceeding to the presidential lodge followed by dignitaries who were on hand to receive him.

President Muhammadu Buhari is scheduled to speak to Nigerians in a live broadcast by 7 a.m on Monday, August 21, 2017.
