KRPC donates Laboratory Equipment to KASU

The KRPC Kaduna Refining and Petrochemical Company- has equipped the laboratory of the School of Environmental Management at Kaduna State University (KASU) with several apparatus needed by the students to fully appreciate their academic courses.

The KRPC made the presentation of materials to the university officials at an event and explained their reasons for making these donations. The Managing Director of KRPC, Mr. Adewale Ladenegan said that the KRPC was dedicated to ensuring that the quality of students that graduated from the Kaduna State University remains top notch so that they can further develop the country.

Mr. Adewale Ladenegan said that the presentation of materials was in the ways that the company met its social responsibilities to higher institutions as well as their immediate community to improve their basic amenities. He encouraged the rest of the public especially other companies like the KRPC to render help to KASU so that the university can continue to provide the coming generations with a sound education.

“We have young men and women who are performing creditably well but they lack the facilities to enhance their education. This knowledge is why Kaduna Refining and Petrochemical Company is giving them support to enhance their education,” he said. He also explained that another means that the company fulfills its social obligation to the school is by allowing several students from KASU to undergo their mandatory internship training at KRPC

The Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics) of the Kaduna State University, Prof. Ado Ahmed expressed his appreciation for the kind words of the Managing Director of KRPC. He also received the laboratory equipment and thanked the organization for playing its part in the development and sustenance of good education.

Prof. Ado Ahmed also said that the equipment which included several laboratory chemicals was coming at the right time as the university is currently undergoing accreditation of some of its courses by the National Universities Commission.
