President Muhammadu Buhari on Saturday at the Grand Durbar of the centenary celebration of Kaduna said that Kaduna remained one of the unifying states for Nigerians from all walks of life. Also noting that the state serves as a melting point of Nigerian Politics.
The President who was represented at the Durbar by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Muhammad Bello added that Kaduna was destined to play a significant role in the development of the North. “Celebrating the 100 years of its existence as a political capital is by no means, a child’s play and I am happy this celebration is happening under a progressive government,”
“I have noted with admiration that the state has achieved a lot under Governor Nasir Ahmed Elrufai, who is a progressive governor as he has started implementing the vision he wants to see the state attain in the next 100 years.”
Kaduna Celebrated the 100 years of the creation of the state with various events to mark the occasion, Grand finale of the celebration of the creation of the state was a Grand Durbar which was attended by dignitaries from all over the country.
Amongst the dignitaries present at the event was former Vice President, Namadi Sambo, Governor Kashim Shettima of Borno, Governor Aminu Bello Masari, deputy governors of Zamfara, Bauchi, plateau as well as Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu and a host of captains of industries.
