Kaduna Pilgrims to Return In 2 Weeks

The spokesperson for the Kaduna State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board Yunusa Abdulahi has assured its remaining 6,265 pilgrims in Makkah that they will return back to Nigeria in two weeks.

He gave the assurance during an interview with Daily Trust in Makkah, 448 pilgrims from Giwa LGA have already returned to Nigeria by Medview in the early hours of Monday. He added that more pilgrims mainly from Kachia and Kaura LGA would be transported back on Tuesday.

He maintained that the policy of “first in, First Out” would be strictly adhered to. “We will continue to treat our pilgrims equally and fairly, therefore we will strictly adhere to the rule of first to come in and first to go out without fear or favor, ” he stated.

Abdullahi added:”This is our mandate and the Executive Secretary of the board, Imam Hussaini Tsoho is a man of his word,” he reiterated.”

The 2017 Hajj in the Holy City of Makkah exercise had Kaduna state with the largest number of pilgrims in Nigeria.
