The Kaduna State Police Command has said the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) was otherwise known as Shiite, is not a legal organization in the state as the body has been prescribed as an unlawful society.
The state’s Police Commissioner Austin Iwar said this in a statement issued in Kaduna.
It, therefore, described any persons parading themselves as members of the group and disturbing the peace shall be treated as criminals and dealt with accordingly.
The commissioner lamented that members of the unlawful group disturbed the peace of Kaduna metropolis along Katsina-Kano road by attacking and injuring police officers deployed to prevent crime and keep peace in the state.
The statement said that the command has deployed strategies to fish out the perpetrators and deal with any emerging threats to disturb the peace. (Liberty TV Radio)
