Ibrahim Al-Amin Little, more popularly known as Ibrahim Little received the Executive Governor of Kano State; Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje at his residence on Link Road, Unguwar Rimi, Kaduna. The governor paid Ibrahim Little the visit to see how he was recovering from a failed attempt on his life a few weeks ago. Al Amin Little was shot by unknown gunmen at his Birnin Gwari farm two weeks ago.
The press secretary to the executive governor of Kano state, Malam Abba Anwar released an official statement on behalf of the governor over the visit to Ibrahim Little. He explained that “The Governor has gone to pay a visit to Ibrahim Al-Amin Little to sympathise with him after the surgical operation he had based on the injuries he sustained when some unknown gun men attacked him few days back.”
The statement read that the governor prayed that almighty Allah continues to protect the Kano politician, Ibrahim Little and the rest of Kano indegenes. He also conveyed to how shocked the people of Kano were when they heard about the ugly incident. Anwar said “Ganduje delivered sympathy message on behalf of the government and people of Kano state, as well pray to Allah for his quick recovery.”
Ibrahim Little received the Governor and appreciated the people of Kano state. He disclosed that he was just discharged from the hospital two days back and thank God for sparing his life. He used the medium to call on all appropriate law enforcing bodies to ensure that the assailants were captured and brought to justice as soon as possible.
Ibrahim Little was once the state chairman of the All People’s Party (APP) before the party was dissolved. In 2007, Ibrahim Little was a gubernatorial candidate under the people’s redemption party in 2007 but he lost. He is currently an elder in the Kano state faction of the People’s Democratic Party
