Suspected cattle rustlers on Thursday attacked Kurega village a community that shares its boundary with Birnin Gwari Local Government, The Kaduna State Police Command said three people were killed and four were reportedly injured after the attack took place.
The Kaduna State Police Command’s PRO ASP Muhktar Aliyu told the News Agency Of Nigeria (NAN) that the incident happened on Tuesday afternoon around 1400 hours.

“So far no arrest has been made, but we are doing everything humanly possible to arrest the suspects and recover the stolen cows.
“Based on the report the suspects are cattle rustlers, so the issue of eight people killed is not true, only three people were killed and four injured,” he said
He also appealed to the residence of the community that anyone with useful information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects should volunteer such information to the police.
Muhktar reiterated the police commitment to protecting lives and properties of every citizen in the country.
