Kidnapped Director Released in Kaduna

The Kaduna State Police Command has announced that a Director with the Kaduna State Civil Service, Mr. John Gorah, who was kidnapped at midnight on September 3 at his Maraban Rido residence, has been released and reunited with his family.

The Public Relations Officer of the Kaduna State Command; ASP Muktar Aliyu made this announcement to members of the press. He also said that a nursing mother that was abducted alongside the director has been released at the same time. He appealed to the residents of Kaduna State to always give the command tips and information about any suspicious activity that happens in their area as these would help the police to prevent incidents like this from happening

“The command remains committed to fighting crime and criminality to a point where every citizen can move freely” he concluded.

The kidnappers called the family of Mr. Gorah; a director at the Kaduna State Ministry of Education to demand a 40 million ransom but the spokesman, ASP Aliyu did not disclose if the ransom was paid or if any money was given to the kidnappers before they released the victims.
