5,571 Pilgrims from Kaduna Depart To The Holy Land

5,571 pilgrims from Kaduna State have been transported to the Holy Land of Saudi Arabia, the Kaduna State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board’s Spokesman, Yunusa Abdullahi said.

Abdullahi said on Thursday in Kaduna that the pilgrims were transported in 14 flights. The spokesman also explained that 3,931males and 1640 females were transported by two airline companies employed by the board namely Medview airline and Max Air.

Medview airline according to the spokesman airlifted a total of 3,362 pilgrims in 10 flights leaving the company with 1,179 more intended pilgrims to be transported to complete the exercise.

Max Air, on the other hand, airlifted all the 2,209 pilgrims allotted to the company.

Abdullahi said the Gov. Malam Nasiru El-Rufa’i had since visited the Hajj transit camp, where he expressed satisfaction with the operations so far.

He advised the intended pilgrims to be of good character and be good ambassadors of the state while in the Holy Land, pray for the state and the country as well as for quick recovery and safe return of the president Muhammadu Buhari to Nigeria.

The Inaugural flight from Kaduna State for pilgrims was on August 1, from the Kaduna International Airport. A total of 6,750 intended pilgrims from Kaduna state would be performing the pilgrimage.
